What about Grodan and the Environment?

You can grow crops in a re-circulating system and thus not drain any fertilizer into the ground. A large percentage of Grodan rockwool is made from recycled Grodan, which has been re-melted and spun into new wool. Also, in a controlled hydroponic environment, pest and disease control can be effectively managed almost exclusively using biological controls instead of dangerous pesticides.
