Key findings from recent cannabis cultivation trials

  • F1 hybrid cannabis seed trials showed greater crop consistency, including more uniform plant development and more consistent final product quality across production batches.
  • Precision irrigation trials with CRIC Labs and F1 SeedTech achieved an average annual dry flower yield of 9.7 kg/m², with yields above 10 kg/m² recorded in some treatment groups across 5.7 crop turns per year.
  • Irrigation volume and EC strategy influenced crop performance. In the precision irrigation trials, a lower irrigation EC of 2.7 mS/cm and progressively larger irrigation shot sizes produced favorable results for yield and plant steering.
  • No-veg-phase cannabis trials with Innexo demonstrated the potential to increase annual production while reducing operating requirements, with results including up to six crop cycles per year, 12% higher annualized yield, 40% lower energy costs and 37% less labor.
