What is the propagation stage?
Establish healthy roots and uniform cuttings before transplant.
Propagation is where the crop begins. During this stage, cuttings form callus, initiate roots and develop a healthy, active root system within the propagation plug while gradually acclimating to the conditions they will experience after transplant.
In the Grodan 5-Phase Model in Large Blocks, Phase 1 begins when cuttings are placed into propagation plugs and ends when the plugs are well rooted and the cuttings are ready to be transplanted into blocks.
