Today is April 22, and for over 50 years now, on this very date, people from across the globe have famously joined together to celebrate Earth Day, and the theme this year is an important one - Invest in Our Planet.  

So, what is Grodan doing to help, you ask? How do we plan to take action on climate and make a difference?  

At Grodan, we continuously challenge ourselves and remain dedicated to developing revolutionary products and technology to support a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.  

So much so that as of this year, Grodan is proud to offer recycling solutions to over 62% of its consumers worldwide and thanks to the support of loyal customers like you; we’ve managed to recycle thousands of tons of stone wool year after year. This past year we achieved a recycling rate of 45%. To put that into perspective, if Grodan were a country it would have the 8th highest recycling rate in the world and recycle enough volume of substrate each year to cover both Spain and Portugal completely.  

And best of all, we're not done, not by a long shot.  

At Grodan, we pride ourselves on growth and innovation. This is why we’ve made it our mission to achieve a reclamation rate over 53% the next three years, which will increase the amount of substrate taken back by the thousands and by doing so, Grodan stone wool will become one of the most effectively recycled products in the world. 

We believe that innovative technologies and products must meet the critical challenge of reducing our dependency on fossil fuels, consumption of our natural resources, and our food’s environmental impact across its entire supply chain.
