Forecast more efficient irrigation strategies
Since the beginning of e-Gro, it has been our commitment to you to continue to develop the platform so you may continue to maximize your return on investment and strengthen your proficiency in data-driven precision growing. Now, thanks to the feedback from top growers across North America, as well as the hard work and innovation of our dedicated e-Gro team, we’re pleased to announce the latest updates coming to the e-Gro platform in the February Release (available Feb. 14).
What’s new?
- A game-changing forecast feature in the Conditions Module: WC decrease projection
- Sensor mapping synchronization between e-Gro Companion Mobile App and e-Gro Essential
1. WC decrease projection
The Conditions Module gives you the power to analyze the root zone and climate information together so you can optimize your irrigation and crop steering strategies. By doing so, you can maximize not only your input cost savings but your yield and crop performance as well. Based on our years of experience in optimal root zone management, we’re proud to introduce a new valuable feature in e-Gro: WC decrease projection. This new option will give you more insight into whether you need to continue or stop irrigating during your photoperiod, allowing you to make more data-driven decisions on irrigation actions and better control the outcome of your irrigation strategy.
What’s your benefit?
Ultimately, this forecast will allow you to make informed decisions on irrigation actions, resulting in more efficient use of water and a more sustainable cultivation strategy for your business. By using the visualization of these projections, you’ll get a clearer picture of the impact of stopping at different times and even determine what your dry back will be at different irrigation stop times.
How does it work?
The ‘WC decrease projection’ graph can be turned on via the main ‘WC decrease projection’ switch, the last toggle in the row above the graph. More insights into the new feature are below:
- You can now see your projected dry back for the last three detected irrigations. This will enable you to make a more informed decision on when to continue or stop irrigation for the day
- The ‘WC decrease projection’ graph can project a maximum of 3 projection lines for the current day.

2. Sensor mapping synchronization between e-Gro Companion Mobile App and e-Gro Essential.
In the e-Gro Companion mobile app, you’re able to manage your sensor set up. Now, thanks to our latest update, the e-Gro companion app will immediately synchronize with e-Gro Essential to align all your re-allocated sensor(s). No more manual delays and interference, just instant data alignment between the two applications.
What’s next?
